Valentine - Textile
Artist.
Antonia was an active member of the Embroiderers' Guild NSW for over 30
years. She explored many different techniques both hand and machine. Very
fortunate to be able to study design as well as techniques with some of
the worlds most respected creative embroiderers eventually becoming interested
in digital embroidery and surface design. She is a member of ATASDA, as
well as her local Textile Network. She has exhibited many textile works
in Australia and America. Her other main interests are bush walking and
photography. She likes to combine her photographs often computer manipulated
with textiles. She prints her own A4 pieces and has larger metre lengths
professionally printed on silk and cotton. 
Always encouraging the use of the computer with textiles she is moderator
for an internet group Designbytes DownUnder which is the 'local' group for
Australian members of the UK group Computer Textile Design Group and other
Australians interested in using their computer for textile art.
